To attract webmasters to your website, you need to offer them more than one Wix affiliate link. Yet, you might be spending too much time on the design and working out the necessary codes for every single one of your affiliates.
You’re probably wondering, “Why should I spend so much time on every single affiliate program that a webmaster is trying to sell me?” In fact, your efforts may be too much. We’ve found a better way to go about this and promote all of your Wix affiliates.
I’m referring to what’s called the “Example Page”. An Example Page is a “web page” that contains three important elements: a navigation bar, a text box to select an item, and a place to add a contact or product description. These items will be inserted into the navigation bar, which is provided to visitors when they click on a related Wix affiliate link. The text box is where your webmaster can enter their desired price for the item that you are promoting.
This method allows you to take full advantage of the six channels. Take a look at this example:
The example displays three pages (or instances) – the homepage, search results, and product details pages. The code for each page is located in a separate location (here, it’s in a script). It is hidden from your users. Each instance contains a “tweaking widget”, which is usually located on the left-hand side of the screen. You use these widgets to make changes to your site that will enhance your overall presentation.
Here’s what happens on each page:
On the homepage, your users will see a “contact us” button. Clicking on this button will take them to the “contact us” page. Here, you can provide information about your company, such as its name, logo, and contact information. If you use some form of social media networking, such as Facebook, your visitors can join your page by sending a friend request.
The search results pages will contain similar information, but it will be placed on a different page. The “per page results” appear on the next page of search results after the first page. If you have a larger company, visitors may also be able to purchase through these pages. Make sure that your page is clear, up-to-date, and free of advertising links.
When you click on the “product description”contact us” page, you’ll be taken to a page where you can add your item information. You’ll be prompted to enter your product details and the price, but you can also leave this information blank and let the webmaster enter this information on their own. You can also create a product description in this page.
Since these pages are within the same site, visitors will be able to access the page with ease. This is particularly helpful for your clients who have multiple sites. Of course, this type of approach will only work if you’ve made the pages “mobile friendly” (it’s important to remember that, since these pages will appear in separate locations).
As you can see, the “Example Page” gives you the option to use the right tools for the job, and at the same time, keep your pages presentable. You can’t afford to waste valuable resources, so look for good examples and work on creating them as you go.
I hope you find the “Example Page” to be useful in promoting your Wix affiliate programs. As I’ve already said, these pages are all based on the Wix “channel management” tools, which makes them easy to understand and work with.
